James Anderson is a successful business owner, speaker and decorated athlete. As an Ironman finisher, former Mr. Ohio Bodybuilder and mountaineer, James understands the value of hard work and dedication. But to him, no accomplishment could be greater than the one he will celebrate this October - The 10 year anniversary clean and sober of drugs and alcohol.

Having transformed his own life, James's journey has been fueled by an unrelenting passion for empowering others. James uses his platform as a fitness processional to amplify his message of hope and recovery by taking on an extreme physical challenge every year on his clean date, October 14. Some of the challenges include, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, (twice), a 50 mile ultra marathon, Ironman Triathlon, hiking Trolltunga in Norway.

This year for his 10th anniversary, James ran a 100 mile ultra marathon to raise money for The JADFA House, a Recovery Community Organization set to open in Akron, Ohio in 2024.

The JADFA House knows that community is essential for maintaining and enjoying sobriety. Upon it's opening The JADFA House will host daily sober support meetings, community events and activities, provide peer support, counseling and more. Our goal was to raise $10,000, but we double that record with an overwhelming amount of $20,000 in donations! ​

James ended his 100 mile run on Sunday October 15, 2023 at The JADFA House located at 916 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44314. We hosted a community celebration event as we welcomed James across the finish line.

​

When not running two full-time businesses or training for his next extreme sport, James can be found reading, exploring new countries with his wife, or cuddling his cat (preferably all three).
