Fear of Change Friday Meeting
After four incredible years, The JADFA House made the difficult decision to conclude the Fear of Change Friday Meeting at the end of 2025.
What began as a small gathering grew into a meaningful recovery community where countless individuals found support, connection, and hope. One of the greatest joys has been watching many of our longtime members continue their recovery journeys, step into leadership roles, help start new meetings, and expand recovery opportunities throughout our community.
We are especially grateful to First Glance Student Center for generously opening their doors and allowing us to use their space for so many years. Their partnership played an important role in helping the meeting grow and serve the community. From the beginning, our long-term vision was to one day bring our recovery programming under the roof of The JADFA House, and we are thankful to now have a dedicated recovery community center where individuals can access meetings, peer support, events, and resources throughout the week.
While Fear of Change has reached the end of its chapter, its impact continues to live on through the lives it touched and the many recovery spaces that have grown from it.
We remain grateful to every person who walked through those doors, shared their experience, strength, and hope, and helped make the meeting what it was. Though we do not have plans to restart the meeting, we celebrate the legacy it leaves behind and encourage individuals to explore the many recovery meetings, support groups, and recovery opportunities now available at The JADFA House and throughout our community.
